Does compression change image resolution?
PicTinker first tries to lower encoding quality without changing dimensions. It reduces dimensions only when a very small target cannot otherwise be reached.
Can I target a specific file size?
Yes. Choose a preset such as 100 KB or enter a custom KB or MB target. Exact size cannot always be guaranteed because image content affects compression.
